Detectives are hunting a robber dressed in motorcycle gear who escaped with cash from the post office in Mill Hey, Haworth.
A woman working in the post office at the time was left shaken but otherwise unhurt by the raid which occurred at about 10.25am yesterday.
Airedale and North Bradford Police said no weapons were used, but confirmed a quantity of cash was stolen.
The post office was cordoned off yesterday while detectives carried out their investigations. The robber was described as white, in his 20s and slim. He was wearing a crash helmet and red motorcycle leathers.
