A Shipley community arts centre is running courses and children’s activities as part of this year’s Saltaire Festival.
Children can create cupcakes from fabric and families can help make bug houses as part of the Kirkgate Studios & Workshop’s activities in Alexandra Square.
There will also be an experimental drawing course at the Kirkgate studio, on Saturday, September 11, and a pinhole camera making workshop, on Sunday, September 12.
Volunteer and treasurer at the centre Kate Stearn said: “Meeting people and sharing skills is good for everybody. To have a community resource like Kirkgate is brilliant.”
The centre runs activity sessions, drop-in workshops and develops public arts projects.
There will be a charge for the experimental drawing and pinhole camera workshops. For more information, or to book a place, call (01274) 598928.
