Children celebrated National Play Day with activities at Baildon Recreation Centre organised by Bradford Council.

Play Day is the annual celebration of children’s right to play and this year’s theme is Our Place, which aims to support children to develop their own independence and freedom to play outdoors.

Councillor the Reverend Paul Flowers, Bradford Council’s executive member for culture, planning and housing, said: “The campaign is to recognise the benefits of being part of a community and encourage opportunities for people to get to know each other across the generations.”

Activities included play, sports, bouncy castles, a skate park, mobile climbing wall, dance, drama, and arts and crafts.
