University graduate Amman Ahmed (pictured), of Pudsey, has turned his insomnia into a potential business winner.

The former information systems student has suffered from the problem for years, and, following a conversation with a fellow insomniac while working at IT firm Hewlett Packard, the search for a natural remedy began.

EasySleepMusic.com was the result – a company that produces music to help people sleep.

Amman said: β€œIt is based on a discovery back in 1839 called the binural beat. Each track is slightly different and our music is produced in Peru by meditation and sleep experts. Together with natural sounds and exotic instruments, the music works by charging the brainwaves to a relaxed state of mind.”

The music is being introduced into hospitals and throughout the Premier Inn chain and Amman is negotiating with other leading hotel groups in the UK and overseas.

So far the company has received around one million hits on YouTube from insomniacs eager to find a way to help them sleep.

Amman is confident that he has discovered a business idea which has huge international potential and is focusing on developing the enterprise from an office in Leeds.
