Hip hop artist calls for sponsorship after Myspace success

A Bradford musician who is an ambassador for Bradford Council’s ‘B Someone’ campaign is seeking help from businesses to further his singing career.

Hip hop artist Rahul Sabbarwal is gaining an internet following, releasing tracks which have reached the top 20 of the Myspace website charts.

A video accompanying his single, I’m a Warrior, featured more than 100 people from Bradford. His next music video, Lovin’ the Pain, is due for release next month.

Rahul, 21, whose father is Jamaican and mother Indian, said his ethnicity had shaped his music. He is studying management at Bradford University and has set up MRS Records (Money Running Slumdog Records).
