Clog dancers throughout England are polishing their clogs and practising their steps in readiness for Clogfest – the national gathering for the step clog community in Skipton.
Celebrations start at 10.30am next Saturday, when teams will be dancing at the town hall, castle, Holy Trinity Church and the canal basin.
Dancing continues with half-hour performances at 11.15am, noon and 1.30pm, and all teams will gather at the canal basin for a big showcase at 2.15pm.
Organiser Paul Hudson said: “We’re delighted so many dancers and musicians come to Skipton year after year. They always enjoy themselves and put on a good show.
“And we’re grateful to our sponsors, who help us with the cost of the festival - Craven District Council, Copper Dragon Brewery, Skipton Castle, and Trefor Owen Clogs.”
