A unique interfaith scheme between five places of worship was launched in Bradford today.
The Bradford Faith Trail gives people the chance to visit five different faith venues on the same day, providing information on what goes on inside the buildings and an introduction to the beliefs that influence different faith traditions.
The initiative was officially launched today by the Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Peter Hill.
The trail will now be open to the public on the first Saturday of every month and consists of a one-mile stroll down Leeds Road.
The participants are St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 651 Leeds Road (10.30am to 11.15am), Shree Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple (11.30am to 12.15pm), Abu Baker Mosque (12.30pm to 1.15pm) Guru Gobind Singh Ji Gurdwara (1.30pm to 2.45pm), and Bradford Cathedral (3pm to 3.45pm).
