A man accused of conspiring to produce cannabis after being arrested by Bradford drugs squad officers had his case adjourned today.
Hai Van Nguyen, 42, of no fixed address, was due to be sentenced at Leeds Crown Court but Judge Jennifer Kershaw QC adjourned the hearing to a date to be fixed for more discussions about a plea. Nguyen had originally been due to face trial.
He was among a rogues’ gallery of 11 Chinese and Vietnamese men and women who featured on the front page of the Telegraph & Argus two years ago in a nationwide cannabis-production appeal. Four of them have since been jailed.
