There was a full field for the annual golf day in aid of The Ear Trust, a charity which funds The Listening for Life Centre at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The event was held on Wednesday at Bingley St Ives Golf Club and because of a clash with England’s final group match, some teams teed off at 10am. Others teed off at 1pm.
Emerging triumphant was a team from Alwoodley Golf Club made up of David O’Leary, Pat Geragthy, Neil Simpson and Paul Turner, with a score of 90 Second place went to Brewin Dolphin with a score of 89 The day finished off with a presentation in the clubhouse followed by dinner.
Ear Trust fundraiser and event organiser Breeda Barry said: “Everyone said it was a great day and the weather was the icing on the cake, not to mention the football which England won!”
Mr Chris Raine, chairman of The Ear Trust, said: “I would like to thank all who participated and those who sponsored holes and gave raffle prizes which helped to raise over £4,000 for The Listening for Life Centre Appeal.”
