An Addingham beekeeper has written his second book all about the insects he loves.
Ken Pickles’ book, Beekeeping in Wharfedale, contains accounts of the craft in the area over a 40-year period, and offers up details of how to tackle swarms, dealing with honey, natural comb beekeeping and much more.
Mr Pickles, who dedicates his book to Peter Hewitt, of Haworth, says his book will be of interest to anyone interested in the Wharfedale valley and honey.
It has a foreword by Her Grace Amanda The Duchess of Devonshire, who is patron of the Wharfedale Beekeeping Association.
Beekeeping in Wharfedale’ is published by Northern Bee Books.
