Employees at the Tesco superstore in Buttershaw, Bradford, cycled 100 laps of Bradford Bulls’ Grattan Stadium to raise money for the supermarket’s charity of the year, CLIC Sargent.
Carol Turner, a manager at the store, and general assistant Josie Kellett took to the track to raise about £1,000 for the children’s cancer charity.
Mrs Turner said the pair completed about 25 miles in an afternoon.
She said: “In our store we challenge one another to see who can raise the most money.
“We try to think of something different every year for each manager.
“Normally I do a bike-a-thon on the store floor, but this year I thought I would go somewhere to do something a bit different.”
