Sixty primary school children took brave steps on to the stage at Bingley Arts Centre to entertain an audience of 300 relatives and friends.
For children and staff at Lady Lane Park School, Bingley, it was the end of months of hard work, learning London-themed dance routines, inspired by the 2012 Olympic Games, to perform their production called Footsteps 10.
Six to 11-year-olds had spent weekly sessions rehearsing after school to perfect modern and contemporary dance numbers.
A number of former pupils, now in their teens, joined in the show on Friday evening.
Dance teacher Jo Hudson said: “It’s been a huge effort.
“It doesn’t matter that some of them think they’ve got two left feet. They were there to enjoy themselves and it’s a really big confidence boost for them to go out there in front of 300 people.”
