Three generations of a Sutton-in-Craven family have risen to new “heights” to raise money for a local football club.
Barrie Pearce, 74, his son Nigel Pearce, 49, his grandson 17-year-old Jack Pearce and two others, Dianne MacDonald, 40, and Luke Dalby, 27, leapt out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet to raise funds for Cross Hills Football Club on Sunday.
“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, so I thought I’d try and raise a bit of brass at the same time,” said Barrie, chairman and long-time member of Cross Hills FC.
Barrie said the jump had caught the attention of villagers, who had been supportive of the five skydivers as they got ready for their big day.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the skydivers, should ring Barrie on (01535) 635345.
