This year’s All Services Remembrance Parade at Eden Camp near Malton on Sunday, September 12, runs from 10.00 hours to 17.00 hours.

Parade assembles at 14.10 hours for a service at 14.30 hours. There were over 80 standards last year and the number of civilian groups taking part is increasing. It’s always a good day – with free admission to veterans and partners – and the Yorkshire Volunteers Band will play this year.

  • HMS Illustrious Association’s reunion is from October 15 to October 18 at the Russell Hotel, Weymouth. The weekend will include the unveiling and dedication of the memorial of those lost in Portland Harbour during the Liberty Boat Disaster of October 17, 1948.   • The annual veterans day of the Royal Green Jackets Regimental Association takes place at Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester, on July 10. Attendance is open to all past and present riflemen.
