Youngsters at Barkerend Primary School in Bradford proved they had plenty of get up and go.
Yesterday they were taking part in the the Tesco Great Run – the UK’s biggest organised fun run for schools. The pupils were put through their paces by the same training team who help organise the world-famous Great North Run.
The idea is to encourage children between the ages of five and 11 to get fit and healthy through exercise and nutrition advice. For the last three years, the run has been backed by Olympic Champion Colin Jackson.
