Bradford Environmental Education Service is running sessions to introduce people to wildlife sites.
It coincides with 2010 being the International Year of Biodiversity.
The events include: June 30 – Trench Meadow, Saltaire: a chance to enjoy one of the best places for wildflowers in the area.
July 14 – Baildon Moor: a review of controlling bracken on the moor by BEES.
July 21 – Brackenhill Urban Landscape Area, Great Horton: conduct a butterfly survey.
July 28 – Trench Meadow and Roberts Park, Saltaire: another visit to the meadow to see which plants are in flower with a bat walk in the park from 8.30pm.
August 4 – BEES Urban Nature Reserve, Laisteridge Lane, Bradford: open day.
August 11 – Boar’s Well Urban Wildlife Reserve, Kings Road, Bradford: visitors can study the flora and fauna in the meadow.
