International cricket president David Morgan took time out from visited an exhibition celebrating a century of the Bradford cricket league this evening.

Mr Morgan, chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), joined former Yorkshire Cricket Club chairman Keith Moss for a nostalgic visit to Bradford Industrial Museum last night.

They were at the 107 Not Out exhibition, staged to celebrate the unique place of the Bradford League in cricket.

Memorabilia included the contract signed in 1921 by SF Barnes – known as the finest bowler in cricket history – when he played for Saltaire.

There were displays about former Bradford league players and world cricketing greats, Sir Jack Hobbs, Sir Len Hutton, Jim Laker and Derek Underwood.

Mr Morgan said: “I’m delighted to be at this exhibition.”

Mr Moss, who received and MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours, said: “David leads a very busy life.

“Last week he was in Zimbabwe and Dublin at the drop of a hat, but he said he would come to the exhibition and his visit reflects the standing of the Bradford league in international cricket.”
