Peter Taylor's City will kick off the next campaign away to Shrewsbury.
The Bantams provide the first opposition for vastly-experienced Shrews boss Graham Turner, who recently returned to the Shropshire club which he previously managed between 1978 and 1984.
League new boys Stevenage are the opening visitors to Valley Parade a week later - one of three former Taylor clubs in the first four home games.
City face an extra 700 miles on the road this season. But they get the longest trip out the way quickly with the visit to Torquay scheduled for August 21.
City have a home game against Chesterfield on Boxing Day, before heading down the M5 on the Bank Holiday two days later to face Cheltenham.
New Year's Day will see the Bantams at Lincoln's Sincil Bank while Easter Saturday is likely to see a mass invasion at Accrington.
The season will again finish against Crewe but this time at home. And hopefully with plenty to celebrate.
