Shipley Brownies will be celebrating 100 years of girlguiding and supporting Shipley in Bloom tomorrow.
The 11th Shipley Brownies will be in Shipley town centre to help plant a raised flowerbed in Well Croft, opposite the library.
The special flowerbed will celebrate 100 years of girlguiding and complement other projects in the town for Shipley in Bloom.
Councillor Ghazanfer Khaliq, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment and sustainability, said: “This special flowerbed will complement other floral displays in the town for the Shipley in Bloom bid and make a great attraction for shoppers and visitors to the town.”
Helen Williams, Brown Owl of 11th Shipley Brownies, said: “This is a wonderful way for the local Brownies to be involved in commemorating such a special event in girlguiding.”
