An MP is demanding more is done to tackle absent parents paying no support towards their children.
Shipley Tory MP Philip Davies said too often the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission – the former Child Support Agency – targets parents already paying and tries to get more cash from them.
Instead, they should focus on those who do not pay any support to their child, he said.
He called on new Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith to ensure the CMEC goes back to what it was set up to do – to target absent parents who pay nothing.
