The 37th Harden Children’s Gala is on Saturday.
A procession, led by the New Orleans Jazz Band, will leave Ryecroft Road at 1.40pm. Fancy dress entrants will join at Midgeham Grove.
Activities at the gala field – Memorial Hall Park – begin at 2pm, when the official opening will be performed by Gala Queen Eleanor Umpleby and attendants Catriona Ford and Isabel Robinson.
There will be games, stalls, a bouncy castle, roundabout, train rides and two performances by a magician. Free-to-enter children’s races will start at 3.10pm. The event ends with a bubble gum blowing competition.
Admission is free.
