Children immersed themselves in a playtime from another era when a travelling collection of Victorian toys was brought into school.
Professional toy maker Kirsty Garside dropped by Miriam Lord Community Primary School in Manningham, Bradford, to let pupils play with toys that would have been more familiar to their ancestors. Among the treasure trove were toy soldiers, spinning tops and skipping ropes.
Head teacher Bryan Harrison said the visit was designed to complement the school’s year one curriculum.
