A two-day media conference will be held at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television next month.

The conference, called b.TWEEN 06, is a chance for new media talent to exercise their imaginations and explore new ideas with industry experts.

Over the course of two days speakers including Gary Carter, of Freemantle Media, and Robbie Stamp, executive producer for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, will be talking about the latest trends in podcasting, commercial blogging and social networking.

In addition there will be a showcase of pioneering projects.

Sally Johnson, acting chief executive of Screen Yorkshire, said: "Screen Yorkshire has a significant role in making sure that Yorkshire is in the best position to exploit opportunities offered by the changing faces of interactive media.

"In supporting b.TWEEN 06, we want to work in partnership to make sure that the region's talent gets the chance to explore and collaborate on new and innovative multi-platform ideas."

The event will be held on Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26.
