A WOMAN was killed on the A65 near the turn off to Clapham Station when her family's car was in a head-on collision.
Andrea Clay, 40, of Templar Way, Selby, died at the scene of the accident on Wednesday.
She was a passenger in a green Vauxhall Zafira heading towards Ingleton.
Her 40-year-old husband, Timothy, who was driving, and their children, Abigail, 12, Joseph, 11, and Philippa, eight, were taken to Airedale Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Their car was involved in a head-on smash with a blue VW Passat.
Its driver, a 48-year-old from Clitheroe, suffered a shoulder injury. He discharged from Airedale on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred near the A65's junction with the B6480 road to Clapham Station.
Firefighters from Bentham and Settle were also called to the crash at 2.25pm. The road was closed for six hours.
