TWO Craven teenagers are set to gain England under-16 rugby union honours.
Jacob Rowan, from Cononley, is in the full England squad for matches against Wales and Italy.
And Tom Cokell, from Long Preston, has been chosen to captain the England A side in the Millfield Festival in Somerset.
Both 16-year-olds have been part of an elite England training squad over the last few weeks after coming through Yorkshire and North of England trials.
Rowan, who is a pupil at Bradford Grammar School, was vice-captain for the full England team in a warm-up game against Bath Academy under-17s.
The No 8 is a member of Leeds Tykes' academy and also played an integral part in the Bradford Grammar School senior team's cup run in the national Daily Mail competition which saw them reach the quarter-finals.
Settle College pupil Tom Cokell (pictured) said he was proud to captain the England A team.
"It was an honour to captain my club side Wharfedale and also the county B side. To captain the England A team is an achievement beyond my dreams."
The full England squad play against Wales at Llandovery on April 8 and then
fly to Italy for games against a regional side (April 11) and the national side (April 15).
England A will play fixtures against Scotland, Canada and France in the Millfield festival held from April 12-16.
