PROMOTION or relegation may not be an issue for Wharfedale but the Greens could be in for an exciting end to the season (writes Mike Crowther).

With four games to go, coach John Lawn insists there is still plenty to play for, starting with tomorrow's visit of Barking to the Avenue.

A convincing win for Dale would see them leapfrog their opponents into fifth spot and see them complete a double over the team who were promoted from national three south last year.

Games against Esher (home), Harrogate (away) and Redruth (home) follow with each one also providing incentive to do well.

Lawn said: "Esher are challenging at the top and so we want to do as well as we can against them.

"Motivation for the Harrogate game speaks for itself as it is a local derby and the Redruth game is a chance for the players to show what they are capable of as they didn't play very well against them away from home."

With three home games and the match at Claro Road just a stone's throw away, Dale fans have plenty to look forward to in April - particularly if the weather improves and provides good conditions for the Greens' running style of rugby.

There are three changes in tomorrow's starting lineup which see on-loan Sale prop Martin Halsall return at tighthead prop, Simon Hargreaves making his first league appearance of the season at openside flanker and James Hutchinson (pictured) restored to the wing.

Rob Lednor is unavailable while Adam Whaites dislocated his shoulder in last week's defeat at Waterloo.
