Ilkley Rugby Club player Richard Rhodes has been selected to play for Yorkshire Under-15s against Lancashire at Sedgley Park on Wednesday, April 19.
Richard, who plays second row, has played in the Inter-District tournament in the West Yorkshire colours for the past two seasons and has earned his call up to the full county side after a final trial at Leeds RFC last Wednesday.
Richard, who is a pupil at Ilkley Grammar School, also represents Ilkley Cricket Club and ha splayed for local representative teams at that sport.
His elder brother, Andrew, is also a keen and talented cricketer and is currently playing at fly-half for the Ilkley Rugby Club's second team where, in his debut season in senior rugby, he has so far amassed over 250 points.
