Keighley Cougars are working with Woodville Work Activity Centre in a bid to clean up Cougar Park.

After consultations with the Centre, which is part of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's Skills for Work Service, it was agreed that learners would come down to Cougar Park to help out.

This is all part of the Cougars wanting to get themselves out into the community.

"We are working in conjunction with Woodville and Bradford Metropolitan Council to improve the standard of facilities at Cougar Park," said club general manager Peter Roe.

"It is our intention to make the ground more comfortable for supporters on a match day. With the help of the Activity Centre we are looking to paint the main stand at the ground.

"This is one of the first steps we are taking to increase the club profile out in the community. It is also the first of many community-based projects we are looking to undertake.

"In exchange for their help the club are looking to give the

students a coaching session. We want the community to be as much a part of Keighley Cougars as the club are in the community."

Martin Holland, supervisor at Woodville said: "This is a great opportunity that can inspire our learners to develop team building, practical work skills and give insight into roles within the club."
