The Intermediate Cup final will be between Eccleshill United, who went through on penalties against Royal Clayton, and Crown Wyke, who hammered Albion Sports Reserves 6-0.

It was Royal Clayton, bidding for their first final, who took the first-half honours in their tie with Eccleshill.

Better finishing from Clayton saw them put two goals past keeper Lee Dane, who was outstanding for Eccleshill throughout the match.

But a half-time lecture from their manager gave Eccleshill the boost they needed and within 15 minutes they had drawn level through Andy Philp and Ryan Wood.

With both sides enjoying purple patches, the game went to extra-time and then penalties. Both sides had missed once before Ryan Wood's conversion settled it in sudden death.

In front in the first two minutes, thanks to Brent Missin's powerful header, Crown's second successive appearance in the final never looked in doubt.

As Crown's pace gave Albion Sports Reserves a hectic morning, Paul Gott and Jordan Missin came through before half-time to extend the lead to

4-0. And with spaces becoming more frequent in Albion's defence in the

second period, Gott completed his hat-trick and Missin rounded off the scoring at the end to complete a 6-0 win.

In the Premier Division, it was back down to earth for Whetley Lane, who, after booking their Valley Parade final last Wednesday in the Bradford & District semi final, were beaten 7-0 by neighbours Fairweather Green. Down only a goal at half-time, Whetley fell away badly as Danny Ellis and George Hicks both shared doubles in Fairweather's win.

Last week we reported a rare goal

for Kevin Woodhead. This week Wood-head, operating in left midfield, struck after two minutes and then later hit a second as Bolton Woods, 4-0 up at half-time, turned Chellow over 6-2.

Mark Burham continuing his scoring run since his return to Premier football with two more goals.

In Division One, veterans ruled the day at Eccleshill. Former Baildon

player MacMillan Serrant, 49, was Eccleshill's man of the match and

40-year-old Chris Peltier headed the winner as Eccleshill beat Dudley Hill Rangers 1-0.

Promotion contenders Ring o' Bells Shipley did their goal difference tally no harm with an 8-0 drubbing at Queensbridge, who were only 1-0 down at the interval. Chris McMann finished top scorer with four goals.

Plenty of pre-match work at Haworth Road meant Bradford Park Avenue Rangers could continue their quest for the title - and the division leaders beat Buttershaw White Star 4-2.

Trinity Brown scored twice, Brent Netzler grabbed his usual goal but the best effort came from Billy Swaitek, who, with the goalkeeper out of his area, lifted the ball over him from the halfway line.

Buttershaw's goals came from Andy Butterworth and Liam Brown.

The other team in the promotion race - Silsden - were 5-0 winners at Victoria Rangers, a result that ends Vic's time in the division after last season's

promotion.

In Division 1A , down to Queensbury Reserves in the first half, White Horse equalised from Jamie Hepworth after 55 minutes.

Queensbury went back in front almost immediately.

But Hepworth popped up after 80 minutes to share the spoils with his second equaliser.
