Campion's pursuit of their first Mumtaz Premier Division title continued to gather momentum with the 5-0 battering of Ovenden West Riding on Saturday.

Campion were two goals ahead within the first six minutes thanks to Adie Howard.

Ovenden recovered their composure but went further behind when Chris Graham added a third before half-time.

Neil Walters and Mick Burke scored in the second half as Campion completed the rout.

Wibsey took an early lead at Brighouse Town with a Damian Melvin goal which was cancelled out on the stroke of half-time by Jason Todd.

Wibsey continued to take the game to Town in the second half and deservedly took all three points when James Hamilton netted to give them a 2-1 victory.

Heckmondwike Town's two-season stay in the top flight is rapidly coming to an end. With only six points from their 20 games, they are ten points adrift of Eastmoor.

James Rutherford, with a double, and John Spurr scored for Shamrocks, while Martin Mears netted Rangers' consolation.

Hall Green United, who are already promoted, could have picked up the champions' cup had they taken all three points from their visit to Altofts but in the end had to fight back from being two goals adrift at half-time to gain a point.

Crag Road United's Division Two Cup semi-final against Hunsworth at Lower Hopton was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and it will now take place next Saturday at Ardsley Celtic's ground (1-45).

Tyersal Reserves warmed up for their West Riding County FA Trophy semi-final against Golden Lion (Halifax) tomorrow evening with a 1-0 win at Steeton. It keeps them in second place ahead of Brighouse Town Reserves, who won 2-1 at Wibsey, on goal difference in Division One Reserves.

Tyersal's first team bowed out of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup after losing 2-1 to Bay Athletic in the semi-final at Woodlesford.
