A woman in her late 50s was found dead on the M62 last night.
The woman, who has not been named, was found lying on the carriageway of the eastbound motorway between junctions 25 and 26 under the Hunsworth Road bridge, between Brighouse and Cleckheaton, shortly after 9.10pm.
The eastbound carriageway was closed as police recovered her body.
A police spokesman today said: "At this stage it is unclear what did happen but we are not treating the death as suspicious."
