Femi Fehintola has had his eyes opened to the fame and fortune that boxing can offer.

Now the Bradford Moor super-featherweight is declaring: I want some of that!

The unbeaten prospect is back home from an "unbelievable" experience in Monte Carlo, where he fought at the Salle des Etoiles Sporting Club.

Appropriately, he chose the playboys' paradise to deliver a million-dollar performance with the first stoppage of his 13-fight professional career.

Fehintola took less than two rounds to smash his way through Ivo Golakov and knocked down the stunned Bulgarian four times.

But Golakov was not the only one seeing stars amid the swish, mega-rich surroundings.

"What a wicked experience that was," Fehintola admitted. "I've never seen anything like it - there were millionaires everywhere.

"I can't believe the amount of money around the place. It was a totally different way of life to what I'm used to.

"The five-star hotel we were staying at costs £6,000 a night during the Monaco Grand Prix and on the ground floor there was a massive casino. It was like something out of a film.

"I'll obviously never make that kind of money but it gives you a taste of what it must be like."

It was not just the wall-to-wall luxury that left Fehintola buzzing. He was just

as excited about a performance which earned plenty of ringside plaudits.

"Everything came together for me and I'm really pleased to get the first stoppage out the system," said Fehintola, whose power had been questioned by critics.

"It wasn't just a case of the referee

stepping in, I gave the other guy a proper bashing. I could see all the shots I've been working on in training were really paying off - and I felt strong in myself thanks to the dieting.

"In the past I've always lost a bit of strength having to make the weight but, working with a dietician, now I don't have to worry about that.

"My opponent was bigger than me and looked in great condition but I was able to just walk through him. The stoppage has been a long time coming and I did it in style."

Ricky Hatton was an impressed onlooker after watching his brother Matthew win as well. Thanks to his current link-up with Fehintola's promoters Fight Factory, the 23-year-old could be in line to appear on a future 'Hitman' undercard. Fehintola was offered the chance to join Hatton in America on May 13 but will instead fight on the Clinton Woods bill in Sheffield on the same night.

He said: "There are a lot of dates coming up and the opportunities will be there for me now. I want to be fighting someone at a decent level."
