Colin Todd will spend the next 24 hours deciding who will partner Aaron Wilbraham in attack at Walsall.

Joe Brown's dramatic goal against Blackpool has given the City boss plenty of food for thought for tomorrow's battle with another League One struggler.

Brown came on at half-time for Ben Muirhead but it is Danny Cadamarteri's position alongside Wilbraham that is under threat.

Cadamarteri stumbled over his best chance on Tuesday and was replaced before the end after a frustrating display, reacting petulantly to the decision.

Todd said: "The two young lads (Brown and Joe Colbeck) will certainly be involved again. Whether it's from the start or on the bench I'm still thinking about.

"But with Steve Claridge going, that does leave the door open for Joe Brown with eight games to go."

Claridge yesterday joined Walsall on loan but there will be no immediate reunion at the Bescot. Part of the loan agreement barred the veteran frontman from facing the Bantams.

Todd added: "We had a clause put in that if he went to any club in or around the

bottom of the table, then he wouldn't be able to play against us.

"It wouldn't have bothered me too much but if it did

happen, it might have caused a bit of embarrassment."

Walsall dropped into the bottom four after losing 2-0 to Yeovil on Tuesday - and are still looking for their first home league win in 2006.

The Saddlers have not triumphed on their own patch since New Year's Eve when they beat Blackpool. Ironically, the Seasiders were the opposition when City opened their home account three days ago.

Todd is confident his side can cash in on Walsall's Bescot shortcomings and push for a third win in four games.

He said: "The onus will be on the home side, like it was with us on Tuesday. The longer the game goes on, the more nervy they will become.

"One thing that has pleased me is the resilience we have shown. What happened against Oldham was a blip but we bounced back and six points out of nine is a good return."

Steve Schumacher is still out with a calf injury and joins Bobby Petta on the sidelines.

Walsall have picked up only one point at the Bescot this year, with boss Kevan Broad-hurst accusing his players of "freezing" when at home.

Broadhurst has only been in charge for four games since replacing Paul Merson but he said: "Obviously there's a problem at home. The players froze on Tuesday.

"The Yeovil game taught me a lot about certain players who play away from home with real heart and desire but then are a pale imitation when we get to Bescot. We can't afford that."

Walsall have huge problems in midfield, with three players suspended. Broadhurst is also sweating on the fitness of Grant Smith and Mark Wright, who are both doubtful.
