Street Light City Movement plays the second Gasienda rock night organised by Poorboys singer John Gow.

The young Keighley band, which plays mostly original songs with the odd cover, is joined by Dusty Not Digital and Blindlight.

The Movement came together when four Keighley schoolfriends started playing concerts around the Leeds area. Guitarist Tom Ward and Jordan Wise, bassist Jonny Gill and drummer Dave Gilroy were then joined by singer Ben Loftus. One fan said The Movement played a recent gig at the Snooty Fox with confidence and swagger.

He said: "They have a bright future as their own material blends well with covers such as Hey Joe, Supersonic and I Wanna Be Adored.

The band plays a Battle of the Bands, on April 5, at Skipton Town Hall, and the Three Horses, Keighley, on April 22.

The Gasienda is at New Variety Club, Russell Street, Keighley, on Thursday, at 7.30pm. Admission £3.

n Two members of Exoterik tomorrow present something "a bit more gentler" at Ingrow Conservative Club, from 8.30pm. Anneka Latta and Tom Fay give a rare acoustic performance of mostly covers, with a handful of originals, under the name Hybrid Theory.

The show will be the duo's first in Keighley, following gigs in Wakefield and Huddersfield. Expect to hear the likes of Elton John, Foo Fighters, The Killers and The Corrs.

Exoterik support local heavy rock band Aftermath at an April Fools' Day Bash, at the Victoria Hotel, Cavendish Street, supported by Exoterik.

The April 1 gig starts at 8pm. Admission £3.

The Aftermath's CD costs £4.50 from the Musicians Centre, at Keighley Railway Station, and Crazy Kats, in Cavendish Street.

n Singer Sam Payne says goodbye to the blues as she sings her own songs influenced by Alison Moyet. She is at the Cricketers Arms, Coney Lane, Keighley, on Thursday. Raucous Irish-style performer Rakish Paddy returns next Friday.

n Pink Floyd tribute band Off the Wall performs at St George's Hall, Bradford, next Friday. Book at Keighley Information Centre, in the town hall, or phone 01274 432000.
