YOUNG striker Danny Forrest fired Rawdon AFC into the Wm Machell Wharfedale Sunday Challengev Cup final with a brace of goals on Sunday.

The 17 year-old Guiseley striker netted both goals in Rawdon's 2-1 win over Shipley Town and he and fellow Rawdon /Guiseley players Lee Poole and Matt Larkins could now be in line for two cup final appearances as Guiseley Reserves have also reached the Wharfedale Challenge Cup final.

Both Rawdon and Guiseley will face opposition from the Baildon Trinity Athletic club in their finals at Netrhernoor Park, Guiseley.

The Sunday Challenge Cup final will be played on Thursday, April 13, kicking-off at 7.30pm.

Danny Mathers replied for a Shipley side who last season lost to Rawdon in the final. These two sides have fought tooth and nail over the past few years in this competition, usually in the final.

In the Resource Print Solutions Wharfedale Junior Cup Menston Hotshots U-16s will meet Horsforth St Margaret's in the final on a date and at a venue yet to be set.

Hotshots U-16s defeated their club's U-15s A side in a closely fought semi-final with goals from James Holland and Paul Whiteley.

Goals from Ariyo Onifawukon (2), Curtis Bowles, Rob Atkinson and Josh Brown saw the Horsforth side through to their second final in three years with a 5-0 victory over Ilkley AFC Juniors.
