Tom and Millie Pughe, have been selected to represent Yorkshire, this weekend at Edinburgh, involving matches against the Home Counties, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Tom will be playing in the U-13 boys event, while Millie will be in the U-13 girls.

Both have represented the county before, Tom having been in the U-13 Yorkshire team, that has won its way to the Grand Finals, where the team came second overall last weekend, a fine effort.

Millie, who is only 11, has played a number of times for the Yorkshire girls' U-13 team, an excellent effort for someone so young.

Another outstanding junior at the club is Hannah Dean, who was also representing Yorkshire in the U-15 girls finals last weekend. Hannah is currently No 2 in Yorkshire but has an English ranking of No 6.

Two other junior squash players achieved excellent results last weekend were brothers Ethan and Sean Thornton who played in the Boston Junior Open. Ethan won the U-13 boys' event while Sean made it through to the semi-finals of the boys' U-17 event.

There is a good squad of juniors who are working hard on their game and with the Ilkley Junior Open on in a couple of weeks, hopefully more outstanding results will follow.
