A second mystery investor was today deciding whether to get involved with City.

Chairman Julian Rhodes confirmed he had held talks with another interested party on Friday.

The unnamed businessman, a keen Bantams supporter, wanted the weekend to think it over.

Rhodes said: "He just rang me up and said that he didn't realise there was the chance to make an investment. We had a meeting away from the club and the two investors decided they could work together if need be."

Rhodes recently revealed that discussions with a mystery money man were at an advanced stage and a deal could be struck to put the club in joint ownership.

Should the third man also come on board, City could either be split three ways or the two potential investors would divide the other 50 per cent shares between them.

Rumours were rife at the Oldham game that commercial manager Peter Etherington was said to be involved but Rhodes appeared to laugh that off.
