Keighley salon Streets Ahead has been nominated for the Learning and Skills Council's prestigious Apprenticeship Awards.
The company was nominated, by Keighley College, in the Employer of the Year category.
Carol Coulton, manager of the college's In2Work initiatives, said: "For over 20 years, Streets Ahead has worked closely with Keighley College to provide highly professional training to young people from the local area.
"It has shown the ultimate commitment to apprenticeship programmes."
Streets Ahead is owned and run by husband and wife team Tony and Nuala Walsh.
Tony said: "Every member of staff here is proud to be nominated for this prestigious award. It's a team effort -- working with apprentices you need a good team of people working together to welcome them in and help them grow.
"It's not a production line, we try to develop people to be different and bring out the individual."
Assistant Louise Ellison, 17, said: "As well as the training we get at college, Tony and Nuala provide a model night on a Tuesday and we get extra training then as well."
And fellow assistant Geraldine Corson said: "Tony and Nuala give us really good training, and they are also really nice to work with."
