Keighley Playhouse's latest production is described as a witty and fast-moving comedy verging on farce.

Nobody's Perfect concerns aspiring novelist Leonard whose only successful relationship is with his daughter.

He is unable to do in real life what his heroes do in his novels, and anyway nobody will publish his novels.

Then he finds success using a female pseudonym -- and his publisher wants to meet the writer in the flesh.

We wanted to bring you a picture of John Cohen, who plays Leonard, dressed up as his alter ego.

The Playhouse wouldn't let us because they didn't want to spoil the surprise for theatregoers.

You'll have to see for yourself by buying tickets for performances from Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm.

John is joined by Playhouse regulars Barbara Boothroyd -- Cruella de Vil in the recent 101 Dalmatians -- and Geoff Donaldson.

Helen Gallagher, who played Dandini in the recent Keighley Amateurs pantomime Cinderella, plays John's daughter.

The 18-year-old made her debut with the Playhouse last year in a small role in the comedy Plaza Suite.

Completing the cast of Nobody's Perfect is Norma Garnett as Bessie Briggs.

n Keighley Amateurs favourite Peter Whitley again leads the laughter, this time in the pantomime Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

He plays the Buttons-type role of Barney in Bingley Amateurs' show at Bingley Arts Centre on March 15-18.

Laura Judge, a regular performer with Keighley Playhouse, plays the principal boy while Ken Hemsley is the dame.

n Keighley Vocal Union continue their centenary year by performing with other local choirs in Skipton on March 18.
