Colin Todd predicts Ben Muirhead will burst out of the blocks in City's crunch clash with Blackpool.

Muirhead, pictured, is expected to be thrown straight into battle at Valley Parade after missing the last five weeks following a groin operation.

The jet-paced winger's form had dipped before going under the knife. But Todd is confident he will return fit and firing for a game City are desperate to win.

He said: "Ben has been training hard this week and sometimes you have to be thrown in at the deep end like Owen Morrison.

"He didn't let us down on Saturday and if Muirhead plays then I'm sure he will be right up for it. He's not played for a while so it's a new challenge and I'm sure he will be looking forward to it.

"When you come back refreshed you do make an impact and I would expect that from him.

"Players like him can put the opposition on the back foot, which is something that probably we've been lacking. You want him to go and make things happen."

Loan signing Aaron Wilbraham was training with MK Dons again before linking up with his new temporary team-mates tomorrow.

Todd added: "It's been hard work and I've searched and searched for a striker. But I wouldn't have brought him in if I didn't feel this was the right one.

"We've got him for a month and in that time we're playing Blackpool, Bournemouth, Walsall and Scunthorpe, which are all big games."
