LINKS between the Far East and West Yorkshire that were pioneered by an Otley school will be celebrated in China this year.
Prince Henry's Grammar School, a specialist language college whose students have been learning Chinese for the last six years, is proud of its links with the country.
The school has a long association with the Xuejun High School in Hangzhou (Leeds' Chinese partner city), which it runs a student exchange with.
Now millions of international visitors are set to see the best of what the Leeds area has to offer at a global consumer event which opens in Hangzhou in April.
Leeds was invited by Hangzhou to take part in the six-month long World Leisure Expo, and the Leeds-Yorkshire exhibit will be the only UK representative amongst displays from more than 148 countries.
Around 16 million people are expected to visit the event.
