CITY of Bradford's World Class Age Group swimmer and National finalist Sian Morgan opened her Yorkshire Swimming account in fine style when she claimed no less than six titles at the recent championships.

Swimming in the 11 years age group she swam to two new National Times in the 200m Individual Medley and longer 800m freestyle and an improved time in the 200m freestyle.

Not content with these victories she also came home with gold medals in the 100m freestyle, butterfly and 200m breaststroke, and a final place in the 100m backstroke.

Sian's coach Andrew Pearce was delighted with her success which also follows two training sessions with British Swimming's World Class Age Programme.

Recently promoted to Gold squad and swimming under the guidance of Sarah Fisher, Lee Smith cruised to victory in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke in the boys 14 years age group.

National finalist Abigail Smith was in bronze medal position in the girls' 13 years 200m backstroke, and twin sister Rebecca finished in 8th place in the 100m butterfly.

In the younger age groups both Lauren Sharp and Joseph Conway shone through in the gruelling 200m butterfly event.

Both swimmers train in Winning Edge squad with coach Barbara McGuffie and finished in 4th place in the 9 years age group.

Lauren's brother Lewis finished in 4th place in the boys' 14 years 800m freestyle. Lucy Burnside and Luke Constantine both claimed three final placings and there was one each for both Jemma Walker and David Brown.
