Aaron Wilbraham will switch from trying to stop City goals to hoping to score them!

The MK Dons striker has agreed to a month's loan at Valley Parade - just four days after frustrating his new club as an emergency goalkeeper.

Colin Todd, who has been searching for a short-term striker for nearly a fortnight, believes the 6ft 3in

targetman will add some physical presence to the attack.

Todd said: "I'm not putting the boy under any pressure to score but he is something different to what we've got.

"He is coming here to lead the line, link up with others and hopefully the goals will come. It gives us another option.

"I've spoken to people at Hull who've given him a good reference and though it hasn't panned out as he would like at MK Dons, this gives him a chance to put himself on

display."

The 26-year-old made his name at hometown club Stockport, where he scored 35 league goals in 118 starts.

He joined Hull for £100,000 before the start of last season but found opportunities limited once Craig Fagan was brought in.

Wilbraham then had a brief loan spell with Oldham - and played in their 3-1 win at City - before joining the Dons in the summer.

He was a regular for the first half of the campaign but has started only once since Boxing Day.

At least he got a glimpse of his new team-mates last weekend - and was chuffed to tip over a David Wetherall header in stoppage time to prevent City equalising again.

Wilbraham said: "I was a bit

nervous because I've never played in goal before, not even messing about. But the team defended very well and I didn't have much to do."
