A manufacturer of pet bedding has expanded into new premises in Girlington, Bradford

Animal Dreams has opened a new warehouse after winning a large contract for the removal of wood shavings from Horsforth shed manufacturer Woodlands Garden Sheds.

The company is expanding beyond its premises at Fitzwilliam Street into a warehouse that will provide extra storage space and the scope for further growth.

The move was made possible by a funding deal with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Lombard, part of the RBS Group.

Animal Dreams was established in 1987 as P&D Pet Trade Wholesalers Ltd and adopted its new name last year. Products range from hay, straw and wood shaving to textile flock - all used in small animal bedding.

Managing director Paul Jenkinson established the company as a supplier to one of the largest cash and carry chains in the UK.

The product is packed using their own brand name as well as being packed with the retailer own packaging and distributed to customers in Yorkshire and throughout the UK. Every product packaged is a result of recycling.

Mr Jenkinson said: "The move to new, larger premises is fantastic demonstrating the success of Animal Dreams."
