Hillside Hawks 28 Keighley Cats 16 - Keighley dominated the opening minutes and controlled Hillside's attacking advances.
The Cats launched a series of attacks with Sara Gatenby breaking through Hillside's defensive line to run full length to score under the posts. The try was converted by Laura Ackroyd.
With the team on a roll the pushed up field again and Bridie Reeves dived over the line after a good passage of play. Ackroyd again added the extra points.
With a comfortable 12-0 lead Keighley seemed to relax and Hillside began to monopolise possession. They soon scored two tries and two convertions to draw level.
Keighley re-grouped and a power play on the fifth tackle saw Saima Hussain pass to Sarah Shillito who dived over the line out wide.
Minutes later Hillside replied with a power try of their own and added the convertion to take a slender two-point lead.
Hillside seemed to raise their game yet again in a fast and furious opening to the second half. They dominated play and scored a converted try.
Keighley did not give up but were unable to stop Hillside's final try, which wasnot converted, in the last few minutes of the game.
Player of the match went to Laura Ackroyd and Saima Hussain was Woman of Steel.
