Bradford Park Ave 0 Silsden 4 - Silsden's four matches in 2006 - all away from home - have now yielded three wins on the bounce.

After last week's scheduled home fixture with Halifax was postponed, the players were hungry to complete a league double over near neighbours Bradford Park Avenue.

It took only four minutes for Tom Wallbank to score, when he chased a through ball and beat the on-rushing keeper to poke the ball home from 16 yards.

On 35 minutes Wallbank, showing good movement, doubled the lead as a drilled free kick from Danny McNulty was flicked home from inside the six-yard box.

Half time came with Silsden 2-0 up and in full control.

The second half began without the same tempo to Silsden's play, but on 53 minutes Danny McNulty attacked a deep cross from Carl Smith and headed home.

Park Avenue could not muster a clear goal scoring opportunity as Silsden's back four of Liam Hodgson, Steve Throup, Sean Airey & Carl Smith shut out everything asked of them and laid the platform for the rest of the team to build on.

The Park Avenue goalkeeper kept the score down with saves from Tom Dibb, Harry Thompson and man of the match Carl Smith. Finally the fourth goal came on 85 minutes as Andy North's shot on the turn squirmed under the keeper.

Manager Paul Schofield was extremely impressed with the quality of football from the whole team.

On Monday (February 27) Guiseley visit Cougar Park (ko 7.45).
