Miffed Brian Noble is demanding the Bulls rediscover their edge tomorrow night and banish any traces of a World Club Challenge hangover.

Buoyant Salford City Reds come to Odsal fancying their chances, having won both their Super League encounters, conceding just six points against Warrington and Les Catalans.

The champions, meanwhile, were rocked by a spluttering home draw against Harlequins which resulted in them being hauled in for extra training on Sunday morning.

Noble isn't envisaging a repeat performance.

"We're all pretty focused this week," he said. "There was a lack of application against Quins. We missed 25 tackles compared to just eight in a tough game at Wakefield the week before and we didn't practice as well as we could have done.

"But this time it's been good. It's certainly changed."

Noble refuses to panic and cites the Wests Tigers win three weeks ago as a mitigating factor in the Bulls' slipshod display.

"We were off the pace against Quins but history tells me that a couple of games after a big game there's always a lull," he said.

"You don't like losing a point at home but now we're going to see how we respond. We're certainly expecting a whole lot better."

The Bulls coach won't swing the axe for Salford.

"A lot of people we were expecting big games from didn't perform," he added. "That's something we have addressed among ourselves and they are smart enough to recognise that.

"Now we're looking at Salford, who will be tough - you don't beat teams 24-6 and 16-0 without playing reasonably well."
