Guiseley could have striker Simon Parke back from injury for tomorrow's FA Trophy tie at home to Kendal Town and that would be a timely boost for the club.
Manager Neil Parsley has been negotiating with a forward to add to his squad for some weeks but the deal has yet to be sealed.
Parsley has his fingers crossed that Parke has no reactions from yesterday's training session. He will also be doing his level best to ensure his players do not take Division One outfit Kendal Town lightly.
"We really want to go further in this competition but it will be very difficult to get past Kendal. They are flying in the division below," warned Parsley.
"Kendal are a very good side and we will have a tough game on our hands. If Parke makes it, even on the bench as a weapon we can bring into the contest late on, it will be a bonus."
Kieron O'Brien is expected to be fit after being injured in the 2-2 draw at Ashton last Saturday.
The postponement of the midweek meeting with Marine ensured Parsley had no new injury concerns.
He names the same squad plus reserve team keeper Stuart Jeffery.
