Great Britain prop Stuart Fielden might be the Bulls' longest-

serving player following the club's off-season clear-out but he does not believe he will be a

candidate to take over the

captaincy from Jamie Peacock.

Fielden cracked the 200-

appearance mark this season for the club he joined as a 17-year-old but he thinks coach Brian Noble will choose relative

newcomer Iestyn Harris as the man to lead them into a new era.

"I just can't see it, to be fair," said Fielden of his own prospects.

"I think Nobby will pick Iestyn as captain. I don't think I'll ever come into his thoughts in that respect. I'll just do the job that I'm given."

Noble will make the appointment following the conclusion of his Great Britain commitments.

"I'm probably tossing up between one or two," he said. "We know the squad and we know what everybody offers. We need to look at the talking in and around the team. I do have an idea and I will probably fully commit to it in the next week or two."

The players were in the same position as the fans in wondering how the team would shape up next season following such a huge turnover of experienced players, revealed Fielden.

"You just have to wait and see," he said. "It is going to be a totally different team. I'll be the longest-serving player, which is going to be a shock at 26.

"Usually each year you get a

couple leaving but you still kind of keep the nucleus of your squad - but ours has left.

"That will be the strangest thing, organising the hierarchy and the set-up of the players. But that will sort itself out and we'll crack on.

"It is a little bit disappointing that a lot of players have left, six

players who I've been with all of my career. I think the sadness of those players moving on will kick in next year when they're not there.

"But we'll have new faces and new people. The face of rugby changes and so do teams; you just get on with it."

Fielden described this year's Grand Final success - his third - as the best yet.

"It was a massive test of

character for all of the players and to come through test after test was amazing," he said.
