Premier League champions and cup holders, Oxenhope, had a fright went they travelled to face Division Three team Ingleton in the Northern Plant Hire Cup.

The minnows held them to a 0-0 scoreline at half time, as they showed determination and commitment in an effort to cause a huge cup upset.

Early int he second half they had a chance to take the lead, but with a one-on-one with the keeper their stricker scuffed the ball wide.

Eventually Dan Moriarty opened the scoring and goals followed from Nivard Trowers and Chris Smith and with Moriarty grabbing his second.

Oxenhope Reserves had a deserved 4-2 victory over Skipton LMS Reserves with goals from Chris Newman (2), Liam Gill and Chris Day.

On Saturday Oxenhope start their defence of the League Cup at home to Cross Hills and the reserves travel to Hellifield.
